These parquet charms are handcrafted by Shimizu Yuta of Ruchie, a studio in Hakone, using the traditional Japanese technique of marquetry.

This year's new designs feature a square shape, departing from the usual round ones. The natural wood grain of the marquetry pairs beautifully with the leather of the Traveler's Notebook. Notably, the rubber band holes are positioned almost diagonally, creating an angled look when attachedransforming the square into a striking diamond shape.

The wood texture, formed by combining various woods, develops a richer patina and greater character with use.
