This bookmark is crafted by gluing two approximately 0.2 mm-thick sheets of parquet with tissue paper sandwiched between them. It blends the delicate beauty of traditional marquetry—combining various woods—with a modern aesthetic. The alternating wood grain shifts its appearance based on the light angle.

When held against the sky and viewed through light, the subtle differences between the two parquet layers become visible. With continued use, it develops a rich patina, highlighting each wood's unique character. Slip it into a notebook or book for daily enjoyment or gift it for a special touch.
